WOW!!!

Just arrived back in Canada after a GREAT weekend in NY, of which the highlight was OF COURSE the U2 concert.

I arrived at MSG at 7 am, was 19th in line, quickly became good buddies with 5 others who were standing with me, and then the LONG wait began.....

By 4:45 they started selling tickets. Of course there were a few low-lifes who budded ahead of all of us in line, including some really abnoxious scalpers, which really ticked us off.

As it turns out, trhey ended up releasing about 1000 tickets, I heard!!!!! At 8pm, they were still releasing tickets. I wonder if this was aploy to outsmart the scalpers. They were obviously held back!!

Anyway, to the show. I thought it was amazing. All 4 were in top shape musically from my perspective, which was section 10 behind the soundboard.

I loved the flow of the show. It started with fun, then the old songs (awesome!!!!!), then the sensitive songs ( Miracle drug, sometimes- I had tears in my eyes), the war songs (super high energy, and full of passion- loved running to stand still), the plea for the one campaign ( a SEA of cellphones! HOPE YOU ALL SIGNED UP!).

The first encore with a trip back to zoo tv was really great I thought, and everything after that was icing on the cake. I really had a blast, and sang my heart out all night. My husband and 15 year-old daughter loved it too. My daughter was quite impressed with the fact that Bono picked a young girl out of the crowd.

And last but no least, I was really happy that they played the original of the species, with a reference to their daughters. The song is a good one for teenage girls to listen to. And Yahweh performed on the ramp was just BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

Yep, this high will have to last for 6 months. I'll be seeing them again in Ottawa and Montreal in Nov. ( GA for Montreal yeeha!!!)
