Bono sounded great, the Edge was on fire as always and it was awesome to see Larry and Adam smiling, having fun and feeding off a great crowd. However, I have to say that the ending was disappointing/weird. Having been at the show the previous night it was great to hear Instant Karma again but something was going on with Patti Smith during the song and it looked at one point that Bono was laughing and trying to usher her off the stage possibly against her will (just a guess) and then reappeared with her and the band a few minutes later to restart the song – very odd. At one point it even looked as if Bono was directing her attention to the screen on the floor of the stage with the words and prompting her to sing. The crowd was really into the show from the first note so it was really a disappointment not to hear Bad or 40 to end a great night, but with the exception of the ending it was an electric night! Does anyone know what happened at the end?
