What the hell was that?
This show was definitely shaping up to be a 10. Lots of energy from the crowd as well as the band. The bomb shelter was rocking. Chants of "U2" from the crowd. The most thunderous "Streets" I've ever heard....Bono looked totally blown away & nearly at a loss of words (how often does that ever happen) when the crowd kept cheering at the end of "Streets"
....then the show ends just like that?
You could tell something was wrong. The shows NEVER end just like that and so abruptly - especially being the last night in NYC for the whole tour. He never really got a chance to say good night or thank the crowd with the usual "thanks for putting out your hard earned & giving us a great life"
a big let down
