This is the best show I have ever been to by U2. The crowd was full of serious U2 fans that knew the music, and they sang along at times with Bono to the point that I didn't hear him (ex. Streets). The band was great, and they wanted to give the love back that they felt from the crowd...and they did. The music and the production was great. There were some visual effects that did not work well, but it didn't matter.
I loved how they played their Atomic Bomb album music. City of Blinding Lights is one of my favorite songs, and it was played great. Miracle Drug was very good, with a great intro story by Bono. Sometimes you can't make it on your own was very touching, and some people sat down to get a breather during that song. They needed it, becuause most of the night was full of all out dancing and singing to U2.
Miss Sarajevo was AMAZING. Some people didn't know the song too well, but I love it, so I was totally locked in with Bono. He handled the Pavaroti part superbly, and he got credit from the crowd. Streets was amazing, and Bono had to comment on how amazing the song was because the crowd sang so well with him. You can tell he and the band really appreciated the crowd that night.
the encore songs were really good. They played Fast Cars, and i really liked it. I didn't know the song too well, and some of the crowd didn't, but it was excellent. some people are happy that they got Crumbs, but I didn't care for the song, and it seemed a good portion of the crowd didn't either. It was played very well though. Then again, I was SOOOO happy to hear Yawheh..it is one of my favorite songs. and it was played so well, but some people didn't care for it. but Yahweh was one of the highlights of the night for me.
i am not a big fan of hearing Bullet the Blue Sky anymore, but the band loves it. However, Love Peace or Else is a similar song in that it doesn't get you dancing. both songs should not be played in my opinion. I wish Bullet the Blue Sky and Crumbs were replaced by a few more older U2 songs. Electric Co was played and it was AMAZING. For The First Time was also a very nice slower song to play. I wish U2 went back to some older stuff. I know you have to play songs from your new album, but almost the entire album was played.
Regardless, this was an amazing show. I haven't been to too many shows, but this is the best one I have ever been a part of.
