3rd show of the tour for me and what a show. Saw them in Stadiums in Glasgow and Dublin which were OK and great respectively.....but you can't beat an indoor gig, especially when the floor is bouncing up and down (though not as quite as much as the Circle in the Glasgow Apollo used to). Even my wife thought it was great - and she's not a fan!
Favourite songs were Electric Co, 'Streets' & Vertigo. Lighting design was terrific and the sound was pretty good (Adam's base line at the start of Vertigo for example). Bono's voice at times was a little off, kiddy on Opera was great though and it is live!!
We were directly behind the stage which was fine, one small gripe which you would expect, is that the guys seem to forget they are effectively playing in the round, the odd wave in our direction is not really enough.
Also spent a few days in Manhattan, which was great seeing all the sights, but are staff always so rude at Newark airport?
PS Keane were great as well.
