the show last night was very good. pretty standard set list, except for the swap of Out of Control for Electric Co (they dropped I Will Follow). The addition of Crumbs to the encore was fantastic and a lovely closing with 40.
Bono's voice was in much better form than the previous night. I was amazed at how he was able to recover without any days off.
The encore of First Time and Fast Cars is a real crowd killer.
But the crowd was the real story of the night. The loudest and most intense that I have heard in a while (although I haven't seen them in Boston or Chicago). Bono seemed to be energized by the raucous crowd and I thought we might see something special during the encore, but it was not to be.
Adam was very adventurous on the guitar during 40. More intricate riffs and action than usual and that was great to hear.
Other than that, pretty standard show.
