A very good show -- the music, of course, is strong enough that it speaks for itself. However, Bono was, in fact, hoarse. But that's ok. We can all acknowlege that he's a human being whose voice actually gets strained sometimes. If they don't take some time off, I suspect we'll be reading about some cancelled shows soon. Painful to listen to at times.
What was most troubling to me, though, is that Bono appeared to be reading the lyrics from a teleprompter on the floor. And not just the lyrics, but much of his spoken stuff, too. Anyone else able to see this from their seats? Big orange words scrolling up as he sang them. Even I know the words to the U2 songs. One would think Bono knew them by now, no? I also suspect he was a bit inebriated. Not as good a show as the Elevation tour at MSG in 2001, but even on autopilot, these guys will entertain you for a few hours.
