My first US show! Flew over from Dublin for this and what a night we had!! Got scanned into ellipse so we got our spot on the back rail in the middle. I was happy enough with the set list, I'm not a fan of the second Vertigo but boy, it really rocked. The snippets were great throughout the set. I would have loved to hear Walk On and 40 as was on the original set list but never mind - Party Girl was good !
What I just couldn't understand was the crowd, people sitting down beside me in the ellipse cos they were tired, some too busy talking rather than listening to the band, saw lots of people up in the seats leave before the encores - it wouldn't happen in Dublin!!!
EDGE was on fire, Adam never stopped smiling, even Larry seemed into it and Bono didn't ramble on as much as the gigs in Europe. A great first night for me at the Garden
