That was another amazing night and excellent set list (and a pretty long:24 songs). It was my 8th Vertigo concert and a second one in a great New York City and a famous Madison Square Garden.
We had GA tickets for this night (thanks to ETS, a really good and reliable company!) and we took really good position at the tip of the ellipse on the 2nd row in the center. GA experience is a must for every U2 fun, at least once in a lifetime, because it is totally different perspective than any good or excellent seats (often seats are much more expensive). Visual effects from stands/seats are stunning, but when you are so close to band on the floor, that is a much better experience. Regarding to this I do not understand how some people can sit on the U2 concert or to ask other people to sit down. It is rock concert and not a theater or a cinema!
Finally I heard Gloria after so many years of waiting and that was truly one of the highlights for me on that Friday night. Of course I got chills and goosebumps like on many songs during U2 concert.
Other great song as always was Where the streets have no name with an incredible crowd participation. I think an audience was even louder than on Tuesday night and Bono even said WOW a few times and "Noisy f*****s New York" on Friday and not on Tuesday like I wrote in my previous review!
I wrote a long review for the last show, so I do not want to repeat many things, because set list was very similar like on Tuesday night, but very different than in Europe this summer.
One interesting thing:my friend and I had a scarf/shawl with Croatian marks and Bono spotted us and he was really looking on it for a significant period of time.
For those of people who had a complaints about Vertigo 2X, I need to say that it was the best Vertigo that I ever heard (with a snippet of Pathy Smiths¨ song in the end) and believe me I heard song Vertigo 15 times live!
O.K. I would also like to hear some other songs like Please or Bad or something else, but that version of Vertigo was really rocking.
This was my final concert on this leg of Vertigo tour and I just hope that we will not wait another 4-5 years to see the best and greatest band ever again. I feel a happiness, rejoice, excitement and spirituality when I am on the U2 concert and that feelings I need in many other aspects/fields in my life like everybody else.
