This concert was the most poignant U2 concert for me (after attending two NY shows this summer and Slane). You can feel the compassion oozing out from Bono and the crew. We have been through a lot as New Yorkers, and they understood that what we really needed... I don't quite know how to put it in words, but they gave us exactly what we needed. They love NYC and they came here to give us all the love they've got. Bono didn't talk too much about the "tragedy", but rather, he healed our broken hearts through their songs. I jumped, I cried, I laughed. Being only a few feet away from stage really helped feel what the band was set out to do tonight. They didn't play any songs that was not significant. Instead, they played songs that we really needed, "Angel of Harlem", "Out of Control", "One","New York"... It was just awesome. U2 fans are the best too. The guy with the ONE (in multi languages)tatoo (I was right behind him) who was called up on stage (Bono called him "the biggest (best?) fan in the world") was in tears afterwards. They woman who played guitar (I talked to her later) with Edge was so awesome and collected for someone got to play at MSG for the first time. It was a concert never to be forgotten by those who attended.
Thank you U2 and thank you to all the awesome fans who made my night a night to remember forever!!!
