well... the show was kind of a let down. after seeing them at their first show at MSG in June i had high expectations. but i think what i saw was classic '3rd leg of the tour'
U2. I've seen it happen on every tour since the joshua tree, by the time they come back around for another leg they seem tired and less inspired. Also, the mock spontaneous gestures wear extra thin( after seeing the same ones at four different shows on the tour). The crowd was even worse. So called "new yorkers" from long island and jersey chanting "osama takes it up the a##"
on the way out after the show. i'm always amazed to see how people can like u2's music while completely missing the message, given the fact that the two are so intimately entwined.
it was a good U2 show- perhaps it's unfair of me to always expect greatness.
