Wow. What can i say? This was my 5th Elevation show and it was certainly something new. I had been in the heart, in the back of the arena, behind the stage, and way up high, but this time...i ended up at the tip of the heart, and what an expieriance that is! You end up in this indistinguishable mass of people that are constantly moving in the direction of Bono. And by the end of the show, you feel as if all the people that are surrounding you are your little "tip family" =). So thanks to everyone at the tip who made the expieriance one that was fun and memorable. And thanks to Nancy who let us all help her take (what i imagine will be) wonderful pictures, and then agreeing to share them with us. You rule Nancy! As for the show, it was amazing. You imagine that the show will be more intense and emotional because its in NYC, but the actual feeling i got during the show was something i wasnt prepared for. The guys were up there on stage looking like they were trying to personally make 20,000 New yorkers forget about for awhile the pain they have gone through. Set list was pretty standard (although unchanged melody was a nice little touch) but considering i was with someone who was seeing thier first U2 show, it felt alright. Sunday Bloody Sunday was especially powerful last night, and obviously, so was New York. Cant wait to see the next MSG show and the CAA one. Im going to miss Elevation when its gone, but boy what a fun ride its been. For anyone who has GA tix for an upcoming show, I strongly recommend venturing near the tip. we didnt get into the arena proper until 8:15 or so, and we were still able to be only about 4 back from the tip =).
