My third Elevation tour show and the best yet (section78). This summer at the Garden the shows were great, the fans charged up. This past Saturday was off the charts. As the Beetles "Sgt. Pepper" leads us in again, the anticipation builds. Then the band comes on and explodes into ELEVATION. The place rocks, everyone singing. Lights stay on through BEAUTIFUL DAY, then dim for NEW YEARS DAY. The eight people in my group and everyone else sings through many hits including SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY and STUCK IN A MOMENT, and then ANGELS OF HARLEM like we wrote it. Along the way there was a marraige proposal (she said yes, I think), a little political commentary that was insightful, thoughtful and not offensive to anyone. A guest piano player from the crowd, who I am told also played on Wednesday, did a great job. I STILL HAVEN"T FOUND...and then PRIDE ends the set. Meanwhile, there is a scrolling list of missing people from 9/11 being displayed against the crowd above and to the right on the stage. This was a very emotional show, and everyone was moved by the effort the band put in. The encores were fabulous, with PEACE ON EARTH-->WALK ON the obvious planned ending. When what seemed like 50 Fire/EMT/Police came on stage and cajoled the band into playing one more. OUT OF CONTROL was just that. Drove us all crazy. Loved the show. I hope I never forget it. Who's got the video?? Many thanks to a great rock and roll band.
