Well, several days after the final show in Moncton and I still can’t believe what I experienced. It started out very wet and gray waiting in the GA line but with every passing minute things just got better and better to finally becoming a Beautiful Day. GA fans in line were fantastic, as normal, and with another show comes more friends. This was my second time in the inner circle for this tour, but this time center stage. Carney and Arcade Fire were great “opening” bands, if you can call them that. Once Space Oddity started and the ship became alive we were on an epic trip that no man has seen before. The band seemed very relaxed which allowed for some special moments, specifically: Stay, The Ballad of Springhill, Out of Control and…of course…40. I was lucky enough to catch the cork from the champagne bottle Bono opened to celebrate the ending of this “musically journey”, and that will be with me forever. I could go on forever, but I just wanted to thank U2 for a night that I’ll be remembering…and repeating…for years to come.
