This was more than a show, it was a religious experience.

It started when we heard the rumour that U2 were going to play Massey Hall to warm up for the arena tour. We stayed up all night camped out for tickets. Only about 30 or 40 people were there, and we were 3rd in line. It paid off with 3rd row seats. The concert was sold out in under an hour, and that was before internet sales.

The show was tremendous, and I got right up against the stage to sweat with the band. When Bono stopped in the middle of a song to try and stop all the screaming, we were right there to support him. They weren't the Beatles, or the Bay City Rollers, but the girls were starting to treat them that way.

The set list was so strong, and when they played the new songs, we knew that the next album was going to be the big break through. The songs were so pure and heartfelt. I remember thinking that this band will be around for 20 years, and just keep getting bigger. Well it is 20 plus years and counting. They are still the biggest band there is.
