Although this concert was nearly 5 months ago, I didn't post a review on this site, I used a Washington Post site that is gone now.
The first part of the show was pure adrenaline with Elevation, Beautiful Day, etc. The second part of the show was a time to catch your breath and enjoy some great music including Bad and 40.
The end of the show gave me something that I don't recall in nearly 200 concerts from 1974-present and that someting was something to think about. Gun control, third world debt relief, these issues made me feel that I was at an event that transcended music.
The thing that is still with me 5 months later is the song Kite. Knowing that the song was written for Bono's children puts the song in a new light and adds meaning. Of all that was played and said that night, what I'll always remember is " who's to say where the wind will take you".
