OK, here goes. I went in with low expecations. I love U2, but I've never seen them live. I had nose-bleed seats, so I figured I wouldn't be able to hear or see well. I was happily mistaken. Last night was the single most exciting night of my life. I'm still having difficulty talking after yelling and screaming, er, "singing" for 2 hours, and I'm still smiling from getting to see PJ Harvey in person. She looked drop-dead gorgeous, and she has a very, very powerful and dramatic voice live, good enough to make me want to see her again, with or without U2. Now on to the main attraction. I of course knew the opener would be "Elevation", but it rocked so hardcore. My friend Michael and I exploded, and my throat was already getting raw by the end of the first two songs. I can see my short chubby self now, wearing a hooded sweatshirt jumping up and down high in the arena, looking like a complete idiot, because I love this band. Ever song was superb, and I was almost in tears because I got to hear my three favorite U2 songs; "Sweetest Thing", "All I Want is You", and "The Fly". I also really liked the constellations during "With or Without You", and the shadows during "Mysterious Ways", very sexy. Despite paying too much for tickets on Ebay, and then well over a hundred bucks on merchandise at the show, I don't feel cheated like some others have said, I feel like I'm the one who cheated them... ;) Thanks for the great show, great memories.
