Here´s what I remember:
People peeing against the outside of the bowl, pee from which forming a stream which joined the abundant rainwater to provide revellers with a wonderful mudslide down the bank, like Woodstock.
Half full two-pint plastic bottles of Tesco's lager cartwheeling through the air towards the stage like German hand-grenades, driving REM (who?) off the stage.
The huge bundles of black leather rolling around in front of the stage during the Ramones songs, every one of which began with "1234!".
The heavens clearing just as U2 came on. During a technical glich, Bono told the sandwich joke and invited someone else to come up and tell a joke. Some drunk walked on and said 'Wham! The biggest joke in music'.
'Gloria' was brilliant,'11 o'clock tick tock 'aswell. The ended on '40', with fireworks.
Brilliant and unforgettable.
