Got in the heart for this show. The best show
I have seen since NEC 1987.
Bono's voice was on top form and he was
always interacting with the crowd and
smiling.
Elevation, Beautiful Day and Walk on were
received as if they were like old classics.
What really made the night for me was
when they came on for the last encore just
before One, someone in the crowd shouted
Party Girl and Bono smiled at them and
said who's in charge here. He also said
just because you have given us nice houses
nice cars, lifestyles etc doesn't mean
you can tell us what to play at which
point audience and Bono were laughing their
heads off. Bono then turned to Edge and
the rest of the band and played an hilarious
version of Party Girl.
The concert closed with Bono dedicating
walk on to his Father and not One as other
people have stated.
My dad came with me to this concert and
said it was the best concert he had ever
attended. His exact words were "it was like
seeing the best band in the world in a
venue like rock city in Nottingham that
only holds about 1000 people".
If you are reading this and have not got
a ticket for Earls Court please do yourself
a favour and get one (touts are charging
about £60.00). Face value of Madonna tickets
were £85.00 and she is not even in the
same leauge. Also if you are standing you
will be closer to the stage.
See you all at Earls Court on Saturday where
my brother will be coming with me this time.
