I truly do not know what to say now that I have returned home from my first U2 Concert. It was definitely the best concert I have ever been to. Since the moment they hit the stage with Elevation until the last note of Walk On I was on my feet dancing, cheering, and loving every minute. Even though I was in the first balcony and not on the floor, I felt so lucky to be close to those Great Irish Guys. I loved how the arena was full of extremely happy voices singing along with "I Will Follow","Sunday Bloody Sunday","New Years Day", and more.
Some of my favorite parts of the concert were during "Until the End of the World" when Bono and the Edge performed their mock bullfight. It was great to see the bull fall back to the Edge’s amazing guitar riffs. The Edge was totally on fire, during New Years Day my eyes were glued to him as he sang, and played both the guitar and keyboard.
U2 is in truth the best band in the world. Bono’s voice and performance were all I could of dreamed of. The Edge was rocking as always, the only person who could match Bono’s character. Larry is too great, it is magic to see the songs I love unfold with that unmistakable U2 beat. Adam is by far the coolest bass player in the world. To see him rocking up there controlling that U2 rhythm. This has been a day that I will never forget, and I will count the days until they stop back in Ohio.
