Well Oasis was not very impressive and Noel didn't seem very into the show. U2 was amazing, I have never seen U2 live and really wanted to see them.
I flew in from Seattle that morning and headed over to the stadium later that afternoon. Oakland Stadium was packed and the band entered from the front of the stage with the whole screen deal. It was amazing.
I also thought the acoustic version of Staring at the Sun was incredible. The lemon which peels away to reveal a disco ball where the band came out of was pretty neat.
Overall this was the best concert I have ever experienced. U2 played about 2 1/2 hours of material, which included new stuff from POP and hits from the previous albums as well. No really old material from Boy or War though, but lots of Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby songs were played.
Great Concert with good crowd interaction.
P.S. the Karoake Monkeys song was fun too
