I flew in from Texas on Tuesday morning to try and see this show. This was my 3rd U2 concert this year. I had seen them previously in Chicago (1st leg) and Houston (2nd leg). This was definitely the best of all three concerts and I didn't even have tickets til 45 minutes before the show!! In my own personal opinion I thought Bono was superb when he sang "Miss Sarajevo". He took on the role of Pavarotti in Italian (not Latin, as said in a previous post!). Opera's are usually in Italian. Bono can sing in Italian and he excels at it! You tell me how many rock stars take the time to do this? Until The End of the World was great! As was Sunday Bloody Sunday! And what's with the space talk intro to Miracle Drug? I'll bet they thought that one up after a couple of pints of Guinness.. Nevertheless, Oakland rocked much harder than Houston. I'll tell you that much. U2 concerts are like religious experiences, it's uncanny! My plane ride back home this Wednesday afternoon was spent sleeping to recoup all the energy I expended last night..It was great! Thanks U2 and thanks Bay Area for a great time!
