Just arrived back in England after checking out the U2 show at the olympiastadion. Great show by the boys although I don't remember it that clearly as we were rather over-doing the Pils for most of the afternoon/early evening!!! I've never seen rain like it, well actually I have, I live in Manchester (!!)but it was torrential at times. Reminded me of the Longest Day concert at Milton Keynes in 1985 when it was also pretty wet. Great venue although we ended up confined to the seats on the Sudtribune and couldn't move around as we initially thought. Met some great people from Germany and Austria, hello to you all. I'm a big fan of support band Keane and thought they played well. U2 were on top form but i still think the show lacked the edge of the first Manchester gig in June. Miss Sarajevo is amazing, beautiful and I love the way the audience applauds the operatic high notes. Went up to the outer ring for a view of the last few songs and it was a sight to behold. Left early to avoid the obvious problems that would start at the nearest U-Bahn station and were back in the city within 1/2 hour. Amazing stuff, see you in Madrid!
