My best memory of this show is Bono introducing Bad by dedicating to "someone I used to kick football with on the streets of Dublin, who for his 16th birthday his girlfriend gave him enough heroine to kill him, this is Bad." I still get chills over that haunting introduction.
I remember the simple grey stage with very little lighting effects; a far cry from many future tours. Bono also introduced his father during the show and talked about going to the MLK memorial earlier in the day.
Singing 40 out into the concourse and into the night was, and still is, a moving experience.
