The day of the show the promoter released tickets right behind the stage, which I scored! What a treat, first row behind the stage for Zoo TV! I have never seen a better show. Bono came on stage smoking a cig, flicking it into the crowd only to tear into new material which sounded awesome. Seeing the crowd clap to the beat (all sixteen thousand) was inspiring. The televison screens showing signs which were so powerful, I shall never forget: Kill your television, watch more television, church is a social club... some people might have found those expressions offensive - I found them inspiring as well as critical. I have never seen a show like this before of after which combined social statements on the state of America and the world media with music. It was a moment I will not forget.
