last night's show was great. The Palace was filled to capacity and there was a lot of energy in the crowd. COBL was a fine start and I thought Elevation was one of the best songs in the set. Nice mix of old school and new stuff.
The set, like the Elevation tour, is pretty stripped down - just four guys wearing black belting out hit after hit. Not much in the way of props or video montage. It's all about the music.
Bono seemed to be fighting a cold but his voice was right on, especially singing Pavarotti's part on Miss Sarajevo.
It was cool to see Adam take a lap on the elipse and I was kind of stunned to see him and Edge switch sides of the stage for 40.
I was hoping that they would play Bad like they did four nights ago in DC, but 40 is a great way to end a show.
