The second night in Detroit - also my second night in GA - was no disappointment. Another fantastic show, with some great rare treats for the diehards.
Crumbs. Wow. Pure awesomeness. I have to admit that I was pissing myself when they played The First Time and Who's Going to Ride Your Wild Horses so close to me that if you zoom in on one of my pictures you can read the label on the inside of Edge's guitar.
Of course, the night that I'm actually really close to the tip of the ellipse is the night that they use it much less frequently. None the less, Love and Peace was pretty neat because I could hear (very loudly) Larry's floor tom before it came through the PA. Just a really cool experience for somebody who's always a mile away in section 218 row z.
I still completely love the way the setlist has evolved. Miss Sarajevo is just incredible. And to get Crumbs, Gloria, and Bad all in the same show? That probably won't happen again this tour.
My only complaint is that they waited far too long to turn the house lights back on after Bad. I stuck around thinking they were gonna play 40 still, and therefore ended up being herded through the exits like cattle with 20,000 other people pushing their way through.
And, yes, once again, nothing can top Streets. Ever.
