16 years ago my U2 concert journey began at this show.
Following a coach from London and some sightseeing it was a trip on the Metro to the, at the time, futuristic Bercy Arena. I seem to remember it was covered in glass and grass.
Memories are faint but the Bullet/Desire/Watchtower opening had me hooked and my passion for U2s live performances started at that point.
I particularly remember Bono asking why the crowd at the front were English and not French. This of course was due to the Lovetown tour not stopping on British soil.
The Lovetown tour had many gems, God Part II, Hawkmoon 269 and One Tree Hill to name a few, and if you haven't heard the Dublin show or the Sydney video then you should. No two set lists were the same and I wouldn't be writing this if I hadn't gone to Paris, and I still have the programme and ticket stub.
