En, to, tre, fjorten...

This should have been the intro to the show, but instead Bono opted for the original version when kickstarting the long anticipated show. However, he did save the Danish version for the encore of Vertigo.

Tonight's show will be remembered for a few things:

1. All the red and white colors that the Danes waved at the band during Beautiful Day. This made Bono change the words to "See the world in Red and White" and talk about the beautiful country, his beautiful Danish friends (Helena Christensen & family), the beautiful coast line etc.

2. The incredible sound. Something that Parken is not famous for.

3. Ronaldo in the audience. Sean Penn was allegedly also there.

4. THE GOD AWFUL RAIN which somehow made the night even more memorable. It also prompted Bono to sing "Singing in the Rain" while he strolled down the right catwalk holding an umbrella.


I have to say that I was very impressed with the band and the fact that they did not seem to mind the rain. (It did actually rain heavily for almost the entire show...) Bono, Edge and Adam were all frequent visitors on the catwalks.

At one point Bono invited a girl from the audience on stage and stole her rain cover and put it on. He did give it back though!

Looking forward to my last show (out of three) this Wednesday in Munich.
