Having been to several U2 gigs before I was really waiting in anticipation for this one.
Its not often the band gets to visit the most isolated city in the planet.
Several friends had been to the Saturday night gig and told me was awesome.
First disappointment was after spending $300 on my ticket. I found myself in row F looking up at the stage and having a view of virtually nothing.
I should have gone for the standing $30 tickets ...much better. Especially as I stood up the whole time!
Second disappointment for me was the Perth crowd. Only occasionally did they really get into the gig
despite an excellent set.
Third disappointment was it seemed the band maybe had peaked the previous night. They looked bloody tired ! After all it was their final 2010 nights work.
Fourth disappointment was getting an $80 parking picket for being parked safely off the road on bare sand.
Was it worth it. Yes despite everything I felt they really tried to give it their all and Bono never missed a note even on Miss Sarajevo.
