Night II
Wow, the boys certainly gave an amazing show yet again tonight. I was about 4 rows up on Edge's side in the "Gold Circle". A nice change of pace from the mass of humanity in the heart last night. I cant really say I prefered one vantage point over the other, both have its advantages.
The set list remained mostloy intact from the tour standard thus far. A few exceptions though. Even Better replaced Discotheque/Staring at the Sun. I was happy with the change, the Pop duo didnt really seem to go over so well the other night. In place of Bad, All I Want Is You was played. I'd call this one a draw - both were exceptional and I couldn't choose a favourite. Ground Beneath was played tonight, the only slow point of the entire show. The BIG addition to the show was the addition of Pride after With or Without You. This caught everyone completely off guard as the place erupted. Bono seemed to be thoroughly enjoying himself leading the crowd in the "oh oh oh's." A second encore consisted of One and Walk On.
Wow, what a couple of amazing nights. I cant imagine it getting much better than this. Bono thanked Calgary for waiting around for 20 years for the concerts, calling Canada a big, generous country adding U2's music was big enough to fill it. No arguement here. Cant wait for Vancouver...
