Wow.
If I take my review from yesterday's show and double it, I would. Tonight, I was blown off my feet. I didn't think that they could do it. I didn't think that they could take a brilliant show from one night and throw even more into it.
The ladies and gentleman that were gathered at the Pengrowth Saddledome tonight got what they paid for. The normally wonderful set was there. "Streets", "New York", "Gone", all the fun from the first show. But, and this is a BIG "but", our boys added 3 songs that haven't been played at all yet on the tour. "Even Better Than the Real Thing" took the place of "Discotheque". A good trade. And there were more to come. "All I Want is You". Simply unexpected and unbelieveable. And then, during the first of 2 encores, the song every one from Miami to Denver wanted to hear. Yep. "Pride" blew Calgary away.
I can honestly say I was overjoyed with tonights performance, and I hope more U2 jaunts to Calgary are in the cards too. Good luck with the rest of the tour, guys. And for those of you still waiting, trust me, they WILL NOT disappoint!
