Well, after attending the Buffalo show and feeling like I'd had my ass kicked by 4 guys from Dublin who had a lesson to teach, I was going back for more in Albany. To be honest, after the Buffalo show, Bono must have blown his wad also, because he was clearly spent in Albany, messing up on the Lennon tribute and asking the crowd to carry him through some of the more intense portions of the set list. One of the most striking differences between the two shows was the audience. Too much smoking! Bono realized this too, I think, when he sang 'Don't do drugs. Drugs only hurt, drugs only make things worse.' It's a shame because U2 was dealing some very powerful stuff of their own and even though I thought this show was 75% of the Buffalo performance, it was still better than any other act out there. It was also pretty intense when he screamed 'Who are you Mark Chapman' during (I think) BTBS. Side note: it was a bit dissapointing to hear the same exact set list (minus two songs!) as they played in Albany. Mix it up boys, we die hard fans will always travel to multi-venues, and while you have to keep the meat of the show the same, how about throwing in a few different songs just to keep things interesting?
