Let me start by saying what an incredible show! I've seen them six times now, and this was the best! (but I guess I say that after each show...!)
I was one of the lucky few who made it into the ellipse, and ended up 2nd row center; what a feeling! I was the only one of my friends at the show with a floor ticket, so I was solo in line. When I got there, I went up and down the line asking if anyone else was solo, so we could double our chances, but everyone was paired up. So I went back to my place in line, and the next guy who walked up happened to be solo. We paired up, and his ticket came through... I can't tell you what a feeling it is! For those of you reading this who are about to go to a show, right after you walk in, your ticket gets scanned for the second time, and there is a laptop that either flashes "proceed to the floor" (or something close to that), or it flashes bright red u2's all over it (take a wild guess which one you are looking for!
The energy inside the ellipse is unreal, because everyone there realizes how lucky they were to get there... Everyone becomes a huge family, and it felt like the guys were playing just for us. I wish everyone could experience that just once in their lives.
As for the show, there are too many highlights to name them all, but I loved the way they slowly built up Elevation, and was so blown away to hear Bad, which was apparently only the second time they played it this tour so far. I've read that they have been closing with 40 on a regular basis, but what a clasic way to end the show.
Good luck to everyone on future shows with GA tix... I hope you have the same great fortune that I did; but if not, you're still in for an incredible show... they are not capable of otherwise!
