I have been a U2 fan for as long as I can remember. My Daughter grew up listening to them and now my Grandson. I have attended and traveled to 5 U2 shows but Denver was the best! I'd seen the show on the first leg of the tour in Detroit. The seats were awesome but I decided to do the GA in Denver. I flew to Denver and stayed with my Neice and Sister-in-law. The morning started off beautiful in Denver but that would soon change. We arrived at the Pepsi Center around 1:30 and there were already about 300 people ahead of us. So we settled in and started to enjoy the day and the great fans there with us. Around 3:30 the wind started up and then came the rain. Honestly, I thought okay now I'm too old for this (almost 43). Anyway, we froze our butts off and drank a little (thanks to the guys with the cooler)to keep warm. When they finally opened the doors at 6:30 we ended up just on the outside rail of the heart. I tell you it was the most awesome time of my life. Being that close was an experience I'll always remember. Wet and cold paid off in the end. The fans were great except for the guy and his girlfriend who tried so hard to push to the front! Thanks to the cool security guard in front of me. By the way, I'm in the picture posted by JZ. If you read this JZ, I'd love to ask if you have anymore pictures as it appears you were right across from us. My email address is Irishn41@yahoo.com.
I like to think of myself as U2's number one fan, but the fans in Denver proved me wrong!
The show was great and U2 is the best band in the world.
