Well, everyone has done such an amazing job of capturing the essence of this concert. U2 was amazing, that goes without saying. However, I want to reaffirm how incredible Garbage's opening set was. Having been to the March show in Atlanta, I got to see Polly Jean, who is a great artist...but I wasn't captivated by her opening performance. Others might have been, and that's great, but I guess I just missed something. But GARBAGE!! What an awesome opening!! As much as I wanted to see the guys do their entrance...I could have watched another hour of Garbage. Shirley has an incredible stage presence...shucking her bad girl/red vixen persona and taking on this platinum bad ass punk persona...while still being completely feminine underneath...WOW! What a cool frontwoman! The band was tight and the new songs were good enough for me to stop and buy the new cd the day after the show. I highly recommend it. Shirley Manson has given many props to the guys in U2 and that speaks volumes. Their gratitude made public only reaffirms my belief that those 4 guys are the pinnacle of style, humility, intelligence, and decency. With a appreciated dash of naughtiness thrown in on occasion ;)
