I have never been to a U2 show before, but after seeing them live think everyone should do it at least once in life. They were amazing and what a true rock star Bono is. He was all over the stage-running, spinning, turning, lunging-all the things you want from your rock star. The setting sun with the mountains in the background made for a beautiful back drop as well.
Now for the downside, I mean this is a review. The no beer is a downer and doesn't make for the most festive feeling. Also, the crowd was terrible in my opinion. I have seen more excited crowds in little, tiny venues watching Snow Patrol. People were just standing around with ear plugs, in their pleated khaki pants, and small children. Very few people were singing along or jumping or clapping. It was as if they all had free tickets to a concert, but weren't even fans. I suppose the flip side is tickets were actually available for this show, but I hope to see U2 in a real city one day.
