This was my first time seeing U2 live. The stage was awash in televisions and hanging cars (which can now be seen in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame in Cleveland, OH)
Superb "Bad", "Bullet the Blue Sky", and "Fly". Bono was ultra-hip in leather and wrap-around shades. He seemed to be singing to each individual - really passionate; very involved.
Looking back, I think the band sensed the power the media was going to have in the information-overload 90's, and used it in their show, blasting us with split-second images and short phrases on the screens.
This was easily the most entertaining, energetic show I have ever attended.
