My first U2 concert ever. I´ll never forget those hours in line making time go by. I arrived so early that day that I was almost in the first row, just in front of Adam.
I was 14 by that time, and I didn´t really know the political side of U2. All I can say about the Mothers moment is that it was a very touching moment hearing all the 60.000 people singing "el pueblo vencera".
I broke into tears when they played "With or Without You". That song seems to be made for those special moments. It´s such a private and personal song but when it turns to be played in a stadium everybody wants to be part of it.
I also won´t forget Bono´s speech about our country, Argentina. Speaking about ghosts that have to be put to rest so that we can move forward... beautiful words.
February 5th, 1998... the day I will never forget.
Best wishes,
Tom.
