4 years to the day since I last saw them here in Toronto, the boys have really taken their shows to new levels. Had GA's and went with 4 friends, there was no need at all to line up all day to get to the inner circle. We all got in during Snow Patrol's set with no issues at all. The event staff and so forth were very very good, majorly impressed.
Right the show! honestly speaking most of the new songs did not come across that well to me, magnificent was done well. Bono was in top form vocally tonight and very happily chatty, which I loved. Bono worked the area so well, especially when he started calling out the condos overwatching the stadium and when he asked them to flicker a light they did! so cool.
Claw was massive! wow! Songs that stuck out to me were Beautiful Day, Elevation, New Years Day, Streets, and the entire encore. Surprisingly the acoustic version of Stuck In a Moment worked so well and got everyone singing. Got 2 looks at the stage, inner circle Adam's side and from the soundboard.
Great crowd, the set was mostly a hits set instead of some rare hidden gems and so forth. I still want to hear BAD, there musta been enough people there who wanted to hear it all day. Maybe next time.
Roof open and great sound tech = perfect sounding night. Ran to the back of the stage to see the boys off, fun fun! thanks again for a great night guys, you always know how to put on a show. I plan to see them again for their huge Rose Bowl show in L.A next month, another musical journey awaits.
