Luminoustimes, great post. There were a lot of kids at the show; that was great to see. I have been going to U2 shows since 1987 and words cannot even convey how amazing the Rose Bowl show was. We had a different experience with lines (not one bad experience; even getting out of the Rose Bowl was better than we planned on). I thought the event staff were great. We got there early for the tailgate. The Party in the Park was a great idea; got to watch some football and listen to the extensive work on the soundcheck. The show it self was another religious experience. U2 always seems to kick it up a notch live and this was no exception. With a stage that big and to still be that tight as a band; it was amazing! I loved the new version of 'I'll Go Crazy...' The whole set list was just flawless!
Luminoustimes said it best in his/her post, U2 has always been gracious to their fans...I too thank U2 for making the World a better place. Maybe next time, however, they will leave the Black Eyed Peas at home...they were the only hiccup in an otherwise flawless night.
I cannot wait until they return next year.
