My sister said she would stop being a U2 fan when they start "phoning it in." They didn't phone it in. All the tech aspects were amazing and the show was a lot of fun. That said, when Sunday Bloody Sunday came on, it reminded me of the group I grew up loving. When you hold Sunday Bloody Sunday and Walk On next to the rest of the show, it just seems like they're referencing the old U2 that used to sincerely stoke the fire against injustice and not just make it part of their act. So when Bono then proceeded to thank Live Nation, Blackberry and Universal, etc., it confirmed that U2 has become a band more of style than substance. The style part though is pretty awesome.
