God where to begin? Have only seen the boys 12 times before, so I guess that puts me somewhere in between the true fans and the wannabes.

First and foremost, the Rose Bowl is a terrible place to go see a show, I mean my wife and I walked for over a couple miles (after paying the ridiculous parking fee replete with shuttle....which had more people waiting in line than we thought the Rose Bowl could hold)...but I digress

The show itself was good enough by U2 standards, not their best, but not their worst. The crowd did seem to be a bit weak in their emotive response, but hey it's still U2 right?

From where we were sitting, (fairly close, by Edge in the seats, NOT GA) the sound was really good, songs were performed in a decent manner. (Remember, Bono is like damned near 70 yrs old....oh wait, I mean 50). Edge is perfect...he really cranks it out on guitar and the band seems to follow along with him.

Song list was cool enough, loved to hear Unforgettable Fire again (still wish they would play "Wire" but okay...) Ultraviolet is still one of my faves and thank god they played it.

Just as a personal note, new fans of U2...try to chill and relax...alot of us have paid huge money to be there too, and we don't need a collection of morons to ruin the experience for those of us who just want to kick it and enjoy the band. People at this show just had no manners. Just because you bought the ticket doesn't give you the duty to be a pain in everyone else's neck.

So the Reader's Digest version, nice show, crummy crowd, and the security was just there collecting their paychecks. Just nitpicking, but it wasn't the best of U2 shows...

But they still blow doors on anyone else I've seen in a long time. Not quite the spectacle of ZooTv, but still mindblowing...thanks boys
