Simply an amazing show. I arrived at the Rose Garden at 8:40am and was #218...Surprising since the weather was so bad the night before…we just froze our little tushies off…in hindsight…NO BIG DEAL. Our tickets rang the little bell, and off to the bomb shelter we went. I expected Kanye to be hard to get through…I’m not a fan of his, but I like a good beat, and that’s what I got from him. We started chatting with fellow bomb-shelterians till the beginning…trying to convince my friend that U2 is the BEST band in the world…by the way, I think he agrees now after the show.
Love the confetti at the beginning. Love the absolute crispness and clarity of every interment played. Love the blending of stage lighting and visual display...Love that it seemed that they enjoyed themselves on stage. My only disappointment…if you can call it that…was that they didn’t exercised their right to use the catwalk. I’d say 90% of the concert was on the main stage, and their appearances on the catwalk was scripted. Oh well…no biggie right?
All the way to 40…simply an amazing show…and given another opportunity…yeah…I’ll be in line at ‘butt crack of dawn’ again…rain or not!
Thanks U2
