It was wondeful to see the boys at the Rose Garden again. I saw the Elevation tour a few years back in the same venue and have had the opportunity to see several tours over the years.
The show felt a bit like a wrap-up to a very long tour. maybe it is the age of 2 much information, like this website, but it lacked much spontaneity. Yes, Bono thanked the crowd and did a small acknowledgment to the famous missing lyrics from earlier Oregon days that were returned eventually as through devine intervention, but as far as the show itself, it was a little too identical for me to the other reviews, right down to pulling the young girl on stage during SBS. I think it was the right time to put the show to rest.
The stage show itself was unbelievable. U2 production crew is amazing and the whole multimedia presentation was the best in the world. Adam definately seems more at ease then I have ever seen him and Bono did make a reference to being chosen Time's "so-person" of the year. I guess too many of us were hoping for a specialk guest, or something off the charts, that never did materialize. Still, all in all, a solid concert that moved me, but never to tears like they have in the past.
