What a great show. I have been to several concerts. My boyfriend has been to none. When the opportunity arose to see U2, his FAVORITE band, of course, I had everyone I know manning every possible front to get the tickets. And, we got them...In April...talk about a long wait to see the concert. I think those of us that went know what I am talking about.

Oh my gosh. It was great. I'm not going to write one of those reviews about how they weren't as good as when they were in Seattle, Boston, or such and such. I just finished my grad degree, and that simply isn't in the cards. However, I can review and talk about what I saw and heard in Portland.

It was amazing, a bit distorted in sound (I'm tough to please though). That's my only critique. I was one of the unfortunate souls be be slightly behind the stage (left side). That could account for some of the distortion, besides the fact that the rose garden is not Carnegie Hall. I was worried, until the concert started. Every single member of the band, even Larry Mullen, Jr. Acknowledged the section I was is. It was great.

It was a very emotional show with messages of peace, activisim, and basic human rights, but what else would you expect from U2? I was on my feet the entire time. That's right, the entire time--and I was in the 200 level. The concert ended beautifully, simply slowly fading out, one player at a time.

I suppose, it could have been better had I been on the same side as The Edge (right side). I am a big fan, and let's leave it at that.

The truly best part is that is was my birthday. What a truly memorable and amazing birthday.

Thank you U2!!!!
