So now it's been a few days since the 12/19 concert, and it's time to gather my thoughts and post my review. This was my 19th concert this leg, and, yes, #19 in the ellipse (just takes a little ingenuity and skill with ink pads, stamps and an X-acto knife, to name a few tools of my trade). So my review of the show....I would say that for anyone attending their only concert this tour, how could you go away disappointed? I have never seen a show by these guys that I could honestly classify as sub-par, when compared to the rest of the rock world. But for someone like myself, this was certainly not near the top of the list of shows I have seen this year. It certainly got better as the show went on, but there were a couple points where I thought the show took a turn for the worse. First, the setlist (which I got from a crew member afterwords), included AIWIY and Stuck, but these were totally dropped. When the crew was on the ellipse thanking the band, they brought out the mike and guitar to do these, but then something happened and they were quickly taken back down...I'm hoping the boys were just getting a little anxious to finish....On a positive note, I think the re-work of BTBS worked great this tour, and I love Miss. So now it's time to regroup for leg 4, figure out what the new system will be for continuing my ellipse streak, and dream of rumors of a new album in '06
Peace,
Tom
