I was 18 when I was at this concert. This was my first U2 concert and having been a fan since 1988/89 (Rattle and Hum era) so as you would expect I was buzzing. My claim to fame being that me and a friend travelled over 100 miles to be the very first people queueing up for the concert (we were there for about 8am the day before the concert), it was amazing. The whole build up, meeting new people, the mad dash when the gates finally opened and as you would expect we got right to the front next to the edge (got some great pics). The concert, well it was the most amazing thing I've ever experienced, every song an absolute gem. Zoo Station, the guitars, heavy drums, Bono rising from the stage, just writing this sends shivers down my spine. Macphisto (Bonos alter ego), what a howl. The money (zoo ecu's) flying around during Desire (I actually got one) and one of the songs I wasn't expecting to be anything special turned out to be if not the best definately one of them was 'Ultra Violet Light My Way' WOW! Now at the age of 29 I'm glad to say that I've got quite a few used ticket stubs from concerts and all I can say is if you haven't seen U2 live yet, a fan or not you must see them at least once in a lifetime.
