Wow, Wow, Wow!!!! I had a great time at this show. I was however a little dissappointed.
First, the set was very similar to Zoo TV, only with POP songs. I was a little upset at "If God Will Send His Angels." I was expecting something really big but instead it was relatively unclimactic. Why in the world did they play "Velvet Dress"? Not a great concert song. Also, why did they play "Miami"? I love that song, but not live.
The band looked great. I was in the fourth row so everything was very close which was good and bad. It was good because when they were on the A-stage, we were very close but when they were on the B-stage, they were far away. Also, by sitting so close, I really couldn't appreciate everything that was going on on the TV's. So, if you think you have bad seats, think again. The stage is so colossal. The pictures that everyone has already seen does not do it justice. Until you see the stage, you can't really grasp just how big it is.
Some personal highlights included: I Will Follow, Until the End of the World, Bullet the Blue Sky, Please, and One. I liked just about everything though. I flew in all the way from Baltimore and had an awesome time. Oh, one last thing, I met Adam at my hotel. He is so damn cool!
