The show was definitely worthy of carrying the name U2 with it. Before U2 came out on stage, Howie B and his turntable were out on the left of the stage and he was just mixing up a storm with his superfunky beats. The lights dimmed and the moment of truth was about to come. U2 came out playing MOFO with the bass cranked-up. Bono (not Boh Noh) came out wearing a hooded sweatshirt, looking like a bad-ass underneath a cool shirt with huge muscles printed on it. The Edge was wearing a shirt very similar to BONO's along with his hat, only this time a cowboy hat. Adam looked the coolist of all with his construction workers suit. He wore a hard-top hat and a dust mask on. Larry had on his tank-top and jeans on.
The show itself was excellent. They played the POP Album aswell as lots of Achtung Baby, and Joshua Tree. In Addition they played I WILL FOLLOW, HOLD ME THRILL ME KISS ME KILL ME, PRIDE (IN THE NAME OF LOVE). They had a few expected screw-ups during the show with STARING AT THE SUN and DISCOTHEQUE. I was a little disappointed that I didn't hear any RATTLE & HUM or ZOOROPA. My seats were in the fourth row which were deceivingly not great. In order to have a great seat you should be far back to get the whole aspect of the stage. Tears came out of my eyes when I heard the last song ONE,there was just so much emotion in that.
To top off that evening, I met Adam Clayton who was staying at my hotel. A couple of buddies and I (Blake, Linda, and Others) shook his hand and got a picture of him. He was just so cool and so nice.
It was a U2-lovers fantasy come true. The show was great and so was the town. I have never met so many people just like me. POP MART TOUR is EVEN BETTER THAN THE REAL THING child.
